Canoe & Kayak Hire on the River Dart in Totnes Devon

Our rental fleet is positioned next to a private pontoon in Totnes, South Devon on the river Dart. We have great facilities including free car parking, changing/shower rooms and a large range of single and double sit on tops.

Within 3 hours you can easily paddle down to Sharpham, and tide dependent you can hire for 6 hours and get as far down as Stoke Gabrial. There are loads of things to see and do on the River Dart. There is an abundance of wildlife including kingfishers, swans, Canadian geese, and even a seal if you’re lucky. There are places you can stop for a picnic, or a pub for refreshment!

Being in partnership with a watersports retail shop we get the chance to paddle all sorts of boats, and have selected the most stable and easy single or double sit on tops for customers looking to go out paddling. These boats are designed to be used by beginners or more experienced paddlers, are very safe and stable. They are equipped with comfort seats to give you back support, and are paddled using double ended paddles. The double will cope with adult, child combination if you wish to go out as a family. If you fall off you can just climb on without any chance of getting trapped inside the boat.

- Buoyancy aids are provided to anyone going onto the water and must be worn at all times.

- All children (Under 16) must be accompanied by an adult, and all customers must be able to swim at least 25m.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are late in returning the boat you will be charged for a full day. A deposit or credit card swipe will be required as security against non return at point of hire.

We reserve the right not to hire if we feel the tides or weather conditions are not suitable to hire irrespective of paddlers ability.
