Our new rental fleet of single and double sit on tops is positioned on the quay at Stoke Gabriel. We have great facilities including car parking (£3.20 Daily charge), toilets and Riverside Cafe.

We are centrally located on the river Dart. This means that within a 3 hour rental you can easily paddle upriver to the Sharpham Estate and the Vineyard cafe/ Sharpham wine/cheese tour, or across the river to Bow creek and a pub lunch, or downriver to Dittisham to explore this unique village. If you hire for the full 6 hours you will have time to visit a couple of these locations above or paddle right up to Totnes. The South Hams countryside you will be paddling through is truly stunning with an abundance of wildlife including kingfishers, swans, Canadian geese, and even a seal if you're lucky.

Being involved in kayaking all my life and having run a kayak retail shop I've had the chance to paddle all sorts of boats and have selected the most stable and easy to paddle single or double sit on tops for you. These boats are designed to be used by beginners and are equipped with comfort seats to give you back support and are paddled using double ended paddles. The double is suitable for 2 adults, or adult and child combination if you wish to go out as a family.

- Buoyancy aids are provided to anyone going onto the water and must be worn at all times.

- All children (Under 16) must be accompanied by an adult, and all customers must be able to swim at least 50m.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are late in returning the boat you will be charged for a full day. We reserve the right not to hire if we feel the tides or weather conditions are not suitable to hire irrespective of paddlers ability. We do not provide any paddle clothing so suggest you come dressed in jogging bottoms/non cotton T shirt, warm jumper, waterproofs or wetsuit if you have them.

You will get wet so bringing a change of clothing and towel is essential, along with water or juice to drink whilst paddling and packed lunch if you wish. We do provide dry bags for you to carry this in. Any questions please don't be embarrassed to call, we would rather you came properly prepared for a great day out on the water!
